Hard Bake Eggs in 30 Minutes

By: Cailey P., Ginny’s Marketing Manager

Do you ever wonder “How to make the perfect hard-boiled egg” without babysitting a boiling pot of water for what seems like forever? The answer is – you don’t. Most things you read about making the perfect hard-boiled egg say something like “When the egg filled water starts to boil, set the timer for ‘x’ number of minutes”. Who has the time or attention span for that? I certainly don’t. I would much rather set the eggs and forget them for half an hour, until my timer goes off. That’s why I would like to share my no-fail hard-baked egg tip with you!

A dozen white eggs in shells placed in a muffin pan that is on a rack in an oven.

Just a little tip before we get started…
Did you know that eggs a week or more old peel better than fresh eggs? I sure didn’t. 🙂

Hard-Baked Eggs

  • One dozen eggs
  • Muffin Tin
  • Bowl of cold water

Preheat oven to 325°F. Place eggs in the muffin tin. This helps keep the eggs from rolling around as you put them in and take them out of the oven.

Once the oven is preheated, bake eggs for 30 minutes. Kick back and relax, fold a load of laundry, vacuum, check some things off of your list while you aren’t waiting for water to boil or boil over. After 30 minutes, place eggs in a bowl of cold water to cool. When the water gets warm, replace it with cold water. Continue this process until the eggs have cooled enough to peel.

Peel and enjoy!

This is a great idea especially if you’re going to make deviled eggs.
The timing is perfect if you suddenly get an invite to someones house & you want to bring something.

I have never heard of this process. Sounds easy. I am surprised that it takes 30 minutes.

I just put mine in cold water, when they start to boil set my timer ten minutes, then run cold water over them, changimg when warm. If I put something else in the oven,or even more eggs, then I would try the oven.
