Ginny’s Southern Tour 2013 – We Have Arrived!

Ginny, Cailey, Laura, and Jodee are visiting the south this week and we are so excited to learn about everything – the people, the places, and what life is really like in this “neck of the woods.”

Ginny's CarToday, we flew from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Atlanta, Georgia and it already has been quite an adventure. Our first stop was a Waffle House right outside of Atlanta. None of us had ever been and we learned very quickly that it was a “must-go” for us as it seemed like every exit had a Waffle House on it. The late lunch definitely hit the spot, especially Laura’s Peach Waffle.

With full stomachs, were were off… almost. We noticed that the low tire pressure light had come on and thought it would be safest check it out before hitting the interstate.

Then we were finally off (with full stomachs AND tires) to our first destination stop, Savannah, Georgia.

If you have never been, or even if you have been, Savannah is a really cool place to visit. We had a delicious dinner at Lady and Son’s, Paula Deen’s restaurant, and were so full when we left that we had to take a walk through the energetic City Market before heading back to our hotel. We didn’t even have room for dessert!

Tomorrow, we are exploring some more of what Savannah has to offer and then off to South Carolina.
