Ginny’s Southern Tour 2013 – Day Seven

Our final day in the south was spent in Nashville, Tennessee. We had heard so many great things about the Nashville Farmer’s Market and had to see what all the hype was all about. Let’s just say, it was everything we had expected and so much more.

Our next stop in Nashville was The Parthenon in Centennial Park. The replica of the original Parthenon that stands in Athens, Greece is a monument to classical architecture.

While reading about the Nashville area, we learned about the 2013 Southern Living Idea House at the Fontanel Mansion and HAD to go.

DSC_0617DSC_0695Southern Living built the ultimate southern farmhouse on the grounds of the Fontanel Mansion, previously owned by Barbara Mandrell. Each and every room is like a dream and left us wanting to go home and figure out how to incorporate just a little piece of the south into our own homes. The idea home will transition into a bed and breakfast starting on Feburary 7, 2014 called The Inn at Fontanel.

For our last dinner on the Ginny’s Southern Tour 2013, we met Ginny’s customers and Facebook fans, Monica and Gary , at The Loveless Cafe. It was really great to have the opportunity to  meet with two more customers last minute and the food was outstanding too!
DSCN4989The Loveless Cafe all started in 1951 when owners Lon and Annie Loveless started feeding those passing through fried chicken out the front door of their home. Eventually, they turned their home into a restaurant. Now, they serve more than 450,000 guests per year and make up to 7,000 biscuits each day!

A huge Thank You to everyone we met in Nashville, especially Monica and Gary, for all of your hospitality during our visit. Hopefully we’ll be back again someday!
