Something a little different from the traditional chocolate chip cookie: candy chip cookies are the colorful alternative that are sure to please.

cups all-purpose flour

1

tsp baking soda

1

tsp baking powder

½

tsp salt

1

cups butter

softened

¾

cups sugar

1

cups light brown sugar

2

eggs

1

tsp vanilla

2

cups candy chips

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 375.

  2. Add the dry ingredients to a bowl: Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, & salt. Set the bowl aside.

  3. In a different bowl: Using your stand or hand mixer, combine the softened butter, sugar, & brown sugar until light & fluffy.

  4. Add eggs & vanilla to cream mixture, continue mixing until combined.

  5. Slowly add dry ingredients from the first bowl to the cream mixture. Mix until the dry ingredients are combined & a dough forms.

  6. Fold in candy chips by spatula or hand.

  7. Drop onto a parchment lined cookie sheet with a tablespoon 2 inches apart.

  8. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10-14 minutes, until bottom edges are lightly browned. The tops should not be browned.

  9. Remove to wire racks to cool.

  10. Enjoy!
