The Best Chicken Ever

A white plate with a serving of rice and Best Chicken Ever topped with a sauce.

Get ready to be amazed: the best chicken ever only requires five ingredients and half a day in the slow cooker. All you need is a one gallon zip top freezer bag and a handful of standard ingredients: boneless chicken breast, Dijon mustard, maple syrup, red wine vinegar, and some salt and pepper to taste. Combine it all together and then let it sit in the freezer for up to three months. When you’re feeling like a delicious, savory home cooked meal but don’t want to put it any effort, simply take out the freezer bag, dump the contents into a slow cooker, and let the appliance work its magic! We can never decide on what the best part of the best chicken ever really is: the tang of the red wine vinegar? The sweetness of the maple syrup combined with the Dijon mustard? The way the chicken marinates in the slow cooker? Either way, everyone agrees: it’s delicious!
