Sloppy Joe’s

A yellow plate with a Sloppy Joe sandwich, and a stack of buns in the background.

Nothing says simple comfort food like Sloppy Joes; make sure you always have some on hand with this easy freezer recipe! All you need are two one gallon freezer bags and a handful of basic ingredients like ground beef, ketchup, brown sugar, salad mustard, and an onion. We like prepping this meal on a Saturday, so that our 30 minutes of simmering can translate into a delicious and fuss-free weeknight meal. After you divide the ingredients between the two bags, let it sit in the freezer for up to three months. When you’re feeling like a delicious, savory home cooked meal but don’t want to put it any effort, simply take out the freezer bag, dump the contents into a slow cooker, and let the appliance work its magic! Feel free to serve your Sloppy Joes with barbecue sauce, ketchup, or any of your favorite condiments.
