We don’t mean the microwave macaroni and cheese that comes with those weirdly orange powder packets. We mean delicious (and still easy!) microwave macaroni & cheese with real cheese that melts on your tongue.

cups elbow macaroni

½

cups water

½

cups cheddar cheese (shredded)

½

tbsp milk

Preparation

  1. Combine elbow macaroni and water in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for six minutes; take the bowl out and stir the macaroni every two minutes or so. After six minutes, there should be a little water left on the bottom of the bowl. This is good! Leave the water there.

  2. Add cheese to the pasta. Microwave for another 45 seconds.

  3. Add milk and stir until the cheese has coated all the noodles. Congratulations: you now get to eat delicious microwave macaroni & cheese.
