cups popcorn kernels

tbsp butter or more to taste

Salt to taste

Preparation

  1. Heat oil in a large pan on medium-high heat.

  2. Add one popcorn kernel to the pan immediately. Wait for the kernel to pop, then add the remaining kernels.

  3. Shake the pan to incorporate the oil on all the kernels. Cover the pot and gently shake the pan while over the burner until all the popcorn is popped.

  4. Remove from heat and immediately dump the popcorn into a large bowl.

  5. Melt the butter in the hot pan and then drizzle over the popcorn. Add salt to taste.
