Hamburger Pie

Sometimes it’s fun to get creative with dinner. This dish marries two classic dinner options by bringing together the savory, familiarity of hamburgers and the ease of a hot dish. Pair this dish with a side of veggies and you have a square meal ready to eat!

lbs lean ground beef


large onion


cans of green beans


cans of tomato soup

instant mashed potatoes

salt and pepper

garlic powder

shredded cheese, optional


  1. Cook ground beef, onion, salt, pepper, and garlic powder and drain if needed. Put in a 9″x13″ or round baking dish.

  2. Add green beans (drained) and tomato soup.

  3. Cook in oven at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.

  4. Make mashed potatoes and pour on top of hamburger pie and cook for an additional 30 minutes. Add shredded cheese if desired.
