Basic White Bread

A classic staple in your pantry, this basic white bread recipe is fluffy and fresh, just like a new loaf from the store!

cups warm water

¼

cups vegetable oil

tbsp sugar

cups cornstarch

cups flour

tsp salt

¼

oz active dry yeast (1 packet)

Preparation

  1. Place all ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order listed, except

    the yeast.

  2. Make a hole in the top of the flour with a spoon and add the yeast.

  3. Close the lid and select BASIC BREAD, START.

  4. Remove from pan when done. Let cool 20–30 minutes before slicing.

  5. Makes 1 loaf (approximately 1½–2 lbs.)
