Apple Cinnamon Steel Cut Oats

Apple cinnamon steel cut oats are the perfect Christmas morning breakfast. After all, nobody wants to worry about frying, baking, or cooking on Christmas morning! Just add all the ingredients in the slow cooker on Christmas Eve and wake up the next day to a delicious breakfast with rich apple, raisin, and cinnamon flavors. Another bonus? Steel cut oats make you feel full for a longer amount of time, which makes these apple cinnamon steel cut oats a filling and flavorful breakfast.

cups walnuts

cups brown sugar

tsp cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Spray the inside of the slow cooker pot with cooking spray. Make sure not to skip this step, or else it will be very difficult to clean the slow cooker (and no one wants to be scrubbing over a sink on Christmas morning!).

  2. In a large bowl or in the slow cooker, mix all ingredients with a whisk. Pour the mixture into the slow cooker pot and cover.

  3. Cook on LOW for 6-8 hours. Serve with maple syrup and milk!
