The drive shaft revolves around the stationary bowl in one direction while the beater spins in the opposite direction—so you get perfectly mixed ingredients every time. And it's powerful enough to mix even the thickest ingredients. A 6-speed control dial lets you adjust speed smoothly, and it also has a pulse function. Its 5.5-qt. stainless steel bowl is dishwasher safe. Includes whisk, beater, dough hook and cover that eliminates splatters. 14 1/4" w x 12 1/2" h x 7" d.

I really love the look of this mixer, matches my kitchen perfect. It is made from a type of plastic just like the description says but I knew what I was ordering. The attachments are metal and look very well made. I haven't used it yet but intend on putting it through the text this weekend. Big mama's pound cake, cupcakes, cookies and triple layer chocolate cake. I am hoping I can keep the 5 stars after that. I will update if not.

Ginny mixer
I finally got a stand mixer. I bought the Ginny because I know that the quality of the Ginny products are good as I have a countertop oven for over 10 years now and use it very often. So my mixer came in today and I baked a cake made some bread and made some butter whipped cream and it worked like a champ I am very pleased with my Ginny

I didn't realize that parts are plastic. I wanted all metal parts, whipping, stirring laddles are plastic and cheap class. Very week. I have to mix everything with a spoon! The object was for me to use hands free mixer!
