Does this help protect against dust mites and such as well?

To help protect against dust mites, we recommend you clean it on a regular basis by using front load commercial washer and dryer. Machine wash cold, normal. Only use non-chlorine bleach when needed. Tumble dry low with clean tennis balls. Dry thoroughly. We hope this is helpful.
