Do the rubber tires have a plastic tire underneath the rubber part of the tire? Trying to find out if the tires would be able to be popped easily by thorns?

The Tires, for the Hauck Lightning Ride-On, are hard rubber.
With the open nature of the go-kart, we do Not recommend driving through or over any type of thorny vines or bushes for safety reasons, in case of a fall off of the go-cart or thorns being kicked up while driving over them.
