A Perfect Fit
I was in need of a reading lamp for a corner wing chair. I wanted something with some personality. I was very pleased with the appearance and solidity of this lamp. It is heavy enough to be sturdy and it is well constructed. It was easy to put together-- just one screw for the base and attach the shade. I wasn't sure at first about the floor switch. It didn't want to lie flat and it kept moving on the wood floor. But I fixed it in place with a few Command strips and it is fine.

Perfect for my needs
This lamp is just what I needed. I got a new recliner and needed a lamp that would sit behind my chair and shine on my lap, whether I was sitting upright or reclining back. The base is very heavy, so I have no fears of it tipping over. The curved steel shaft goes great in a traditional or modern style room. The lamp is adjustable, so I can point it just where I want it. Because we live in a dusty area, I sprayed the shade with some Scotchgard to make the dust slide off of the hopsacking-type material more easily. I am really happy with this purchase.
