No assembly is required for the Convertible Electric Pole Chainsaw. The 2 in 1 Convertible Chain/Pole Saw is only a chain saw. The 4 in 1 Convertible Chain/Pole Saw can be used as a hedge trimmer or chain saw either with or without the pole. We hope this information is helpful.

I see that the pole bends for the chain saw but does it bend for the hedge trimmers? Thank you.
Hello. The Earthwise 4-In-1 Convertible Electric Pole Chainsaw has a swivel part at the base of the motor so the pole doesn't bend. The swivel part bends for better access. We hope this information is helpful.
