This taco pinwheels recipe was inspired by Gloria G. from Newark, CA. and is a fun twist on a classic party dish. All you need is a blender, a few easy-to-find ingredients, and about fifteen minutes of preparation time. The cheese mixture has a perfect pop of taco seasoning, chilies, and jalapeños, while the tortillas make this appetizer an easy finger food! We love taco pinwheels for Super Bowl watch parties, birthday celebrations, and more.
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
½ red bell pepper, minced
1 pkg. taco seasoning
5-10 rings of pickled jalapenos, minced
4 oz. green chilies, drained & minced
1 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
1 pkg. flour tortillas (five to six 8” tortillas)
1. On medium speed with a mixer, mix the cream cheese, taco seasoning, chilies, jalapenos and red bell pepper until blended.
2. Fold in the cheddar cheese.
3. Spread the cheese mixture (about 5-6 T.) evenly on each tortilla.
4. Roll each tortilla tightly and refrigerate until ready to slice. Then slice into ½” thick rings: delicious!
