Cranberry orange sauce is a sweet and tasty side for any Thanksgiving meal, but the real benefit is in the preparation: this recipe only takes three ingredients and about twenty minutes to make. Another plus? Cranberry orange sauce will keep up to a week in the fridge, so feel free to make it way ahead of time or in the half hour before the main meal.
½ c. orange juice
6 oz. fresh cranberries
1/3 c. brown sugar
- Mix orange juice, cranberries, and the brown sugar in a medium sauce pan. Cover and heat on med high until the berries start to “pop”.
- When the berries start popping, turn the heat down to low and simmer the mixture uncovered about 10 minutes, stirring often. Let cool and serve!
