Cranberry Apple Crisp Recipe

Here in Wisconsin, fall is both apple and cranberry harvest season; that means this cranberry apple crisp recipe is the perfect September and October dessert! The hardest part of this dessert is slicing the apples. Everything else is as easy as pie! (Or should we say “easy as cranberry apple crisp”?)

Ingredients
4 large apples, peeled & sliced in 1/2″ slices
1 c. fresh cranberries
3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. oats
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 c. softened butter

Preheat oven to 375° F. Butter a 9-inch square baking pan. Place apple slices & cranberries in the pan. Mix remaining ingredients well, and sprinkle over fruit. Bake for 30 minutes. Serves 6.
