1 c. flour
1 t. salt
1 T. vegetable oil
1/4 t. black pepper
1 c. beer
1/4 t. cayenne pepper
2 large sweet onions, sliced
- Combine flour, salt, pepper, cayenne, egg, and oil. Gradually whisk in beer until all is combined. (For best results, refrigerate for several hours before using.)
- Separate onion rings and dip into batter.
- Deep fry in batches to avoid crowding in 370 degree oil until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.
