It's easy to feel as though summer will last forever. But fall and back-to-school time will be here before we know it—enjoy the summer while there's still time! Here are a few ideas to get you started: Dry Your Linens Outside—With a Special Touch The crisp feel, the fresh summer scent—nothing beats linens dried in the summer sun. Our quick and easy linen water adds a special touch. Fill a spritz bottle with cold water and add a few slices of lemon and cucumber. Let the spritz bottle sit in the sun for a little while. Then, while your linens are still wet, spray them generously with the lemon-cucumber water. When they dry, the linens will have a more fresh, delightful smell. Sweet and Sour Delight Ice-cold lemonade on a hot day is a refreshing treat, and a cinch to prepare. Make your lemonade even better by adding some frozen strawberries or raspberries, thawed just enough so that the juice from the berries can color the lemonade bright pink. Great for entertaining—or when you just want to treat yourself! Grill Out—With a Twist Take advantage of the warm weather to shake up your grilling routine. Lay sheets of aluminum foil flat on the grill to cook veggies and chicken, shrimp or steak together for a smoky stir-fry. If you have a charcoal grill, be sure to put the grill lid on to keep the smoke flavor in. When cooking on propane grills, place wood chips in bottom of the grill. That creates smoke—and a smoky flavor. For dessert, try lightly grilling fruits like peaches, nectarines, pineapple slices and strawberries, and serving them with ice cream or whipped cream. The possibilities are fast, easy and endless! |
