Container Gardening Tips
Make sure pots have holes for drainage. A layer of newspaper in the bottom will help keep soil from spilling.
Too small pots dry out quickly and restrict root growth. Look for pots that hold 15 quarts or more and water daily.
Many plants need at least 5 hours of direct sunlight—you may need to move your container occasionally to soak up the sun.
