Toilet paper was invented by the Chinese in AD 1391. The Bureau of Imperial Supplies began producing 720,000 sheets of toilet paper a year for the Emperors. Each sheet was 2' x 3'! In 1857, the first packaged bathroom tissue in the United States appeared in New York. It contained an abundance of aloe, a curative addition. Each sheet had the inventor's name on it.
