3/4 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. dark molasses
1 egg beaten
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. sugar in bowl
Cream margarine and sugar together. Add molasses and egg. Add spices and baking soda. Gradually add flour. Refrigerate the dough for at least 1/2 hour. Form into small balls and dip the top in sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350° F for 10-12 minutes.
