Chocolate Toffee Bar Cake

18.25-oz. German chocolate cake mix
14-oz. can sweetened condensed milk
12.25-oz. jar caramel topping
8-oz. container whipped topping (thawed)
3 1.4-oz. English toffee candy bars (crushed)

Bake cake according to box directions in 13" x 9" pan. Cool. Poke holes in top of the cake with wooden spoon. Combine milk and caramel topping. Pour over cake and top with whipped topping. Sprinkle with candy, cover and refrigerate.

I made this cake for a Valentines potluck at work today. People loved it! Instead of whipped topping, I used white frosting from a can and I also added crushed Heath Bars to the cake batter before baking. The cake was so moist. You can also use butterscotch topping instead of caramel.

This cake looks so rich, but is in reality very refreshing. Put it in the fridge before eating just so everything sets up. This is the most requested cake for work potlucks
