Chocolate Waffles

4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. white sugar
1 Tbsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cup butter
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. milk
6 egg whites
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract

In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Set aside. Melt the butter and chocolate chips in the microwave for approx. 1 minute. When the chocolate mixture is fairly cool, stir in the milk, egg whites and vanilla. Pour this into the dry ingredients and mix just until blended. Cook according to the instructions for your waffle maker. Enjoy!
