I've always wanted a good stockpot because my family loves chili, stews and hearty soups. This one is perfect! Heavy enough to start browning the meats and sauteing veggies. I wish, though, that the manufacturers warning about glass top ranges had been included in the description; I might have gone with a different pot, but I think if I'm careful it will be alright.
