Low and high heat settings let you adjust cooking time. Plus, it has an auto-defrost setting (it defrosts frozen foods, then automatically switches to lower heat for slow cooking). It also self-adjusts the temperature to "keep warm" at the end of cooking. Ceramic cooking insert, stay-cool handles and a well-fitted tempered glass lid (keeps moisture and flavor inside). Lid and insert are dishwasher safe. 6.5-qt. cooker (320 watts) is 16" l x 11" w x 9 1/4" h.

I took the crock pot out of the box and used it then. I am very pleased with it the high heat setting gets pinto beans done and makes a thick sauce; and the low heat setting does a great job of keeping the food hot; best of all is the price that I got the cooker for.

My friends and I had a great party. We used our crock pots for both chili and stew. We had enough for the crowd with left overs for our neighbors. Wonderful.
